Janet was a member of the Jellico United Methodist Church and attended there whenever her health allowed. She dearly loved all of her cousins and cousin's families and attended as many of their life events as possible. She could be found attending all of their sporting and life events, doting over them and spoiling them shamelessly. However, her favorite role of all was in being Aunt Janet to her niece Katie and nephew Brent and "Jan Jan" to her great nephews Cooper and Maverick. She held teaching positions at Wynn High School, Campbell County High School and retired from Jellico High School in 2015 after 38 years of service. Janet graduated Cumberland College and began her career teaching the 2nd grade at Wynn School in 1977. Janet was born in Lafollette, Tennessee on May 18, 1955, to Bill and Marjorie (Tidwell) Johnson.
